KC-135 Refueling A-6 Flight Lead

Interesting refueling with the Navy, in 1992, the KC-135 boom was designed primarily for Air Force aircraft; however, on the ground, the boom could be retrofitted with a drogue for refueling Navy aircraft. Once designated and fitted for drogue, the tanker could not refuel any Air Force aircraft during that sortie. Presently, the KC-135 has modified fittings for drogue capability on and under each outer wing area.
